Beauty in the Details - Guest Blogger Corinne of panacea event floral design

For as many flowers, bouquets, and all around gorgeous pieces that Heather and I feature around these parts... I'm so ashamed to say I'm still hopeless at their names!  Luckily, we have some fantastic floral pros to turn to when we see something we love or on which we need to get educated :)  Corinne of panacea event floral design is one of these phenomenally, botanically gifted people.  Tucked perfectly between LA and San Francisco and super flexible for both, she's a go-to gal for inspired design, unique arrangements, and all around fun chats.  In fact, you may remember her work from Sara and Andrew's Real Wedding...

You can imagine my level of giddiness when not only did splendid images of pretty blooms from Galeet and Alon's wedding land in my inbox but an explanation of what they were and how they were done on a realistic budget, too!  As Corinne will explain, it's all about strategy in your details, systematic use of premium blooms, and finishing touches.  Perhaps I should let Corinne take it from here!

Wedding with Chuppah

"Truly, the details can make or break a beautiful wedding. Galeet and Alon’s stunning wedding on the bluffs above the Pacific, definitely proved that even within a realistic budget, magic can happen when the details are played right.

The inspiration for many of the details were inspired by a deep sense of heritage steeped in generations of tradition and built on strong family ties to their homeland. The flourishes, though – directly represent Galeet’s exuberant personality. The silk chuppah accented with bright festive colorful blooms perfectly presented this approach. Showy, elegant phalaenopsis orchids against the back drop of bright pink cherry roses and orange callas with bursts of gloriosa were Galeet’s choice for her bouquet.

These vibrant colors were especially dynamic against the neutral pewter color of the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Several variations of centerpieces were created to provide color and celebration, while curtailing cost. From simple groupings of cylinder vases with bright rose petals submerged under a floating candle to low groupings of single variety blooms for classic elegance.

Several high impact tall variations were spread through the ballroom to provide the necessary vibe of celebration. Moderately priced blooms were mixed with a few highly visible more premium blooms to provide a look that was consistent with the bride’s personal style, while not breaking the bank. Lush green cymbidiums graced a simple cake set on top of citron table runners and several cube vases featuring black river rock and white phalaenopsis orchids were the finishing accents by set by the ketubah and in the restrooms."
