Palos Verdes Country Club is our venue. We chose this club because it offers us the private and romantic setting that we were looking for. Overlooking a beautiful golf course, with the ocean as a backdrop and city lights, it was the perfect setting for what we wanted.

Enjoying it!!! Seeing all the hard work pay off and finally being able to focus on the purpose behind the madness of wedding planning and that's to begin our lives together as a married couple.

If you can consider sounding off to my mother (whose been by my side throughout the whole planning process) whenever I needed to sort something out, make a decision, or just vent then YES, I did! Otherwise, no blog for me. But I did create a wedding website that has some information for our guests.

The weather...isn't it every brides nightmare that it rains on her wedding day? I'm no different! Although the month of May is a mild mannered month in terms of weather, you just never know. Other than that, I'm worried about timing and whether everything is going to turn out the way I had planned. I have been doing all the planning myself and I will surely have a million worries on my mind. Will the vendors be there on time? Will everything be set up as I specified? Will my fiance be late to the church?!?!?! Ohhhhh goodness, I can't even imagine!

The theme is Spring Romance. The inspiration of this theme is a) the time of year (it's a Spring wedding) and b) my personality. I will always chose elegance over extravagance and have always dreamed of a classy, romantic setting as a backdrop for my wedding.

I did not hire a wedding coordinator because I felt confident that I can do the wedding planning myself. Although during my first few weeks of planning I started thinking that was a bad idea, I got over the hump and have made good progress. Now it's just waiting to see how it all comes together! YIKES!!!!

I have not started planning our honeymoon yet. However, my wonderful, sweet, smart, but compulsively proscrastinating fiance is "handling it...." did I mention wonderful? The only thing I know is that we have discussed Latin America and Maui...which of the two we will go to I don't know yet, but I'm looking forward to finding out.

Internet, internet, internet! I have done so much research over the internet and I am happy with how much you can get accomplished through the power of a search engine. Of course, bridal magazines and vendor referrals are very helpful as well.

My fiance comes with me to speak/meet with vendors when I ask him to. Other than that, he has not been really involved in the wedding planning. He has agreed to help with the financial costs but has left the planning in my hands.

The checklist and timelines that you find in many wedding planning websites, magazines, etc...USE THEM!!! I can't even tell you how helpful it has been to keep track of what you have to do and when. I've seen and heard of brides who leave a lot of the big stuff to the last minute and they're stressing out. I've made a point to get everything done when it was suggested so that by the time my wedding date is approaching I am sitting in a spa getting my nails done sipping on a margarita instead of pulling my hair out. Hey, I am optimistic! It can happen!!!

Noooo!!!! I am a traditional chick and although I would like to believe I am not superstitious, I come from a highly conservative latin family so what can I say, it's genetic. Plus, I personally want to perserve the intense moment of seeing my groom for the first time waiting down that aisle for me and for him to see his bride for the first time walking down that aisle. That's a classic moment that I don't want spoiled.

Anxious, forward-thinking, happy.
