When did you become engaged?
November 12, 2009
When is the big day?
November 27, 2010

Who are the wedding vendors that you have already decided to hire?
Amanda Hein Photography
Greenstar Creative custom stationery + design studio
Fleur Couture - event floral design
First Choice DJ
Blu Couture - wedding films
What is your venue and why did you choose it?
Our reception venue is the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. We chose it for its beautiful combination of nature + elegance. Also, because it was not a typical reception hall and nothing was mauve.
What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
Walking down the aisle and seeing Eric for the first time.
Is there anything you are nervous about for your wedding day?
Crying too much, only tears of joy, of course!

What is your wedding theme or concept going to be? What inspired it?
We wanted a chic modern feel with winter elements to portray the season. We wanted to combine fall and winter themes without over doing the standard color/decor schemes from that season.
Did you decide to hire a wedding coordinator? Why did you decide this?
We did not hire a coordinator, I have plenty of experienced help!
Where are you planning to go for your honeymoon?
We are planning a trip to Poland to visit Eric's family, maybe over the holiday break. Unfortunately our schedules will not allow us to escape immediately, we are planning a short getaway to Michigan for a long weekend right after the wedding.
What are some of your favorite wedding planning blogs and tools?
Checklist/Timeline broken out by month in Martha Stewart weddings.
Is your husband-to-be helping with the planning? What are his jobs?
Our work schedules are pretty much opposite, so far his responsibilities have only been attire for the guys and designing his custom Chuck Taylors for the reception!
What is your best advice to brides who are currently planning their wedding?
Remembering that the day is about the two of you and not to sweat the small stuff.

Are you planning to see each other before the ceremony for photos? Why or why not?
Absolutely not! We are purposely having an early ceremony with plenty of time after for photos.
What are 3 words that describe how you feel right now?
really FREAKIN' excited!

remember to stop and step back and look at all the people who are there for YOU to witness your vows and know how lucky you are that you have so many people who love and support you. Love you Jody
