The Los Angeles Wedding of Stephanie and Kahn
It’s my favorite thing when a bride submits her wedding to Style Unveiled for a feature … more often than not, the weddings submitted to me by brides are not a fit … but when I saw Stephanie’s wedding to the man of her dreams, I couldn’t type ‘YES!!’ fast enough!! :) The details are exquisite and elegant, but what won me over the most were the gorgeous images of Stephanie and Kahn .. Tauran Woo had me drooling over the romantic and sexy portraits he took of this couple. WOWZA!!! I also really love the image of Kahn laughing with one of his groomsmen at the bottom of this feature … it’s such a real moment between friends.
Pssssst … if you are a bride thinking of submitting your wedding, here’s a tip :) While there are many MANY wedding blogs who would jump at the chance to feature your diy wedding, this blog is not one of them :) So before you submit your wedding, consider if it’s the best fit for this site.
I had seen Tauran Woo‘s photos through a friend’s Facebook pictures, so I checked out his website and fell in love with the photos I saw there. So I bookmarked his site with the hope that he would be available once our special day arrived. Fortunately, it all worked out and we both feel very lucky to have worked with Tauran on our engagement and wedding photos.
We hired a month-of coordinator to help us out with decorations, making sure the vendors were in line, and to help our wedding day go smoothly. We wouldn’t have been able to pull this off without Candy Lin from Love Birds Events. She helped keep us calm and focused on enjoying the moment instead of having to worry about the minor details.
We had our ceremony at St Gregory Church. This church was where I had all my Catholic sacraments and where I sang in the choir for many years, so it was very special that we got to celebrate our wedding there. The ceremony went perfectly and the icing on the cake was the beautiful music we had throughout.
We had our reception at the Glendale Hilton. We wanted the reception to feel chic and modern, but cozy and warm at the same time. We felt we could best achieve that here. With the right lighting and decorations, I think we succeeded, and more importantly, everyone had a great time!
My biggest piece of advice for brides and grooms planning their wedding is to never forget that it is a celebration of the union between two people.
