19th Century Russia Wedding Inspiration

Happy Valentine's Day!!  Are you spending it with your sweetie?  Perhaps you are one of the many who is hoping he'll 'pop the question' tonight over a romantic dinner?  Cheers!!!  I absolutely LOVE the wedding inspiration for today ... a gorgeous styled shoot inspired by Anna Karenina and 19th century Russia.  The cranberry hues and gold are gorgeous and perfect for this holiday!  Below is a write-up from Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events .. the brains behind this concept!  Enjoy!

As I watched the movie trailer for Anna Karenina, I was so inspired by the setting of high society 19th century Russia. I designed the styled shoot to reflect the opulence and romance of the movie. For the color scheme, we used shades of red and rose with ivory and gold accents. We used mirrors and crystal to add sparkle to the design. 

The St. Regis in Atlanta provided the perfect backdrop with stunning chandeliers. We worked closely with Your Event Solution to develop the design and they provided all the beautiful floral, drape, and lounge furniture. I Do Linens' rich textured linens and custom sweetheart chair caps accented the tables perfectly. Foglio Press designed a beautiful motif that incorporated a monogram and romantic scroll pattern that was reflected on all the stationery pieces. Her cranberry silk covered boxed invitation was a show stopper! We created a unique escort card display, using a vinyl decal of the monogram on a mirror. The gorgeous wedding cake by For Goodness Cakes featured a dramatic cranberry flower that enveloped the cake from one side with gold painted scroll vines leading the petals around the cake.
