Erin and Mike had a gorgeous wedding overlooking the Seattle sunset at The Golf Club at Newcastle. I love their sparkly details (all about a little bling right now) and their beautiful floral arrangements! Melissa Parker of Amazing Events (Erin and Mike's wedding planner) told us a bit about their wedding and the wedding planning ... Seattle brides, listen up ... especially if you are on the hunt for a fabulous wedding coordinator!

Both the ceremony and reception were at The Golf Club at Newcastle with 300 guests. Erin wanted “understated elegance” when we first met and talked about the décor. She likes a very glamorous look, but didn’t want it to be too over-the-top. Her color choice was a very popular combination– champagne, gold, creamy whites and blush pink. Erin’s wedding gown had a lot of sparkle to it with the beading so we used some crystals in the décor, lots of candles and a sparkly rhinestone band around the napkins. For the centerpieces, we used 3 different arrangements – a tall arrangement, a low floral arrangement and a collection of floating candles. The flowers were designed by Flora Noelle. Some of the arrangements were used in the ceremony and later moved to the reception. The ballroom was up-lit with soft pink lighting and the couple’s monogram (similar to the one used on their wedding invitations by Paper Passionista) was projected onto the dance floor. The cake by Celebrity Cakes was also a centerpiece on the dance floor and a real focal point as guests entered the room. Mike comes from a big Italian family, so we had a table full of homemade Italian cookies for dessert along with the cake. The rehearsal dinner was also an Italian meal at Maggiano’s in Bellevue. Being that it was February, the weather was hard to predict. So we rented clear tents to cover the patio at Newcastle for the cocktail time, so guests didn’t have to see the movement of flowers from the ceremony to the reception. The clear sides and roof didn’t obstruct the beautiful views of Seattle. A photo booth provided by Alante Photography was a lot of fun for the guests. At the end of the night, the bride and groom were given a sparkly send-off as guests lined the path to their get-away vehicle from British Motor Coach with 36-inch sparklers.
