A Beverly Hills Wedding Photographed by Troy Grover

Last month I told Jeannie of Details Details that Style Unveiled was going to focus on elegant, sophisticated, ballroom style weddings ... and she is the queen of these! I am always oooh-ing and ahhhh-ing when I see her Facebook page and her Instagram. It's all so beautiful! So lucky me when she submitted this gem to me! The details are perfection and I absolutely love the venue, Montage Beverly Hills! I hope you enjoy!

Although some of my friends didn’t have a wedding coordinator throughout their wedding process, they would say that they wished they had had one. My matron of honor’s sister knew a lot about the wedding industry. So, I asked her if she knew of any wedding planners and she immediately said, “You have to get Jeannie! She’s the best!” And that was it. I contacted Jeannie Savage from Details Details and we just hit it off. I think our first phone conversation was about two hours. She was very easy to talk to and was honest about her thoughts on my vision for the wedding. I liked that. I showed her a few pictures of my dream wedding ideas and she knew just what to do (quite amazing!). I loved how she was always there for me even though she was in Orange County and I’m in LA, she would make the drive down to meet with me. I would email her or text her at random times about wedding concepts and she would immediately respond. I love love love that! I also, liked how she got along with my other vendors. She was friendly yet very professional at the same time. Great combo! Daniel and I were most impressed and pleased with Jeannie and her team on the day of our wedding. We could not have done it without her! We hold a special place for her in our hearts.

My wedding coordinator, Jeannie Savage, gave me a list of photographers. Daniel and I knew photography was one of the most important parts of our wedding. Pictures will last a lifetime and wanted a photographer who can capture those once in a lifetime moments that we can look back at later. We checked out Troy Grover Photographers and Troy’s work really impressed us. When we meet the husband and wife duo, we instantly clicked. Troy and Daniel instantly bonded and Aimee and I chatted away about our names. It was meant to be. They were sweet, bubbly and easy going couple that we admired. Our engagement photo shoot was a blast. Although we had some distractions during our shoot, Troy and Aimee made us laugh and kept it fun. On the day of the wedding they seemed just as excited as we were. The Grover’s understood what we wanted and listened to what we were looking for. They truly worked well with us and did a fabulous job that we will remember forever.

Get a wedding planner. I must say, for me, I could not have put this wedding together without Jeannie. She was my voice, my savior, my everything. She definitely relieved a lot to stress off our backs, especially because Daniel and I were working full time and was difficult to get days off. All the months of meticulous planning were all worth it for that one special day. Planning is all done on the day of your wedding. On your wedding day, you should not worry about anything and let everything go. Just ENJOY the love you have for each other because that’s what your wedding day will be all about.

My friends have used Kelly Zhang’s team for their weddings where I was their bridesmaids. So, I was familiar with her work and liked how they applied my makeup and hair. This was an easy choice for me. Luckily, Kelly was available for my wedding date and knew it was meant to be. Kelly and her team arrived and finished on time. My bridesmaids had different hair styles and they were able to accomplish their individual looks. Kelly and her team did a beautiful job on all my bridesmaids and myself.

I am a total LA girl and always knew I was going to get married in the Los Angeles area. I loved the beauty and elegance of Beverly Hills. I looked into several hotels in the area and they were too big or too small, too contemporary or too traditional for my style and could accommodate a guest count of 250 people. The Montage Beverly Hills immediately caught my eye. The place looked warm, classy and graceful. It felt like a private and exclusive mansion and to top it off their services were impeccable. When I meet with George Nickels, the catering manager, he was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. When I heard that they only do one wedding a day that pretty much meant I got the whole place to myself. I knew this was the perfect place for my wedding.

We loved our wedding cake and dessert stations! Cakes by Rumy was awesome to work with. I talked a little bit about my theme and my vision for the wedding. She knew right away it had to be a grand cake and she did it. It was a 7 tiered wedding cake with white pearlized fondant, blush colored sugar flowers cascading down few tiers, hand piped lace to match my dress, rhinestone bling overlay ribbon and around the cake. On top of all that, Rumy prepared two 3 layered cakes, one for each dessert bar. She prepared 75 peanut butter chocolate, German chocolate and red velvet baby cakes, 50 strawberries and cream with lace wrapped lolli cakes, 50 banana pudding, strawberries and cream parfaits, 150 peanut butter and chocolate chip mini cookies, and 100 French macarons filled with green tea frosting. What more can I say, it was sweet love!!!

What a beautiful wedding... And that CAKE! Talk about making a statement. Wow.
I am loving the 'I DO' on the bottom of the shoes. I am also loving the hair piece, the 2nd dress and the cute little flower girl.
Everything is beautiful, but you can't beat the groom's face on the first look! Such surprise and joy, so romantic!
