We chose Amanda Klein with Hearts and Horseshoes Photography because we could see that she had a natural talent by just looking at her images. Ronnie and I wanted a creative and fresh style to our wedding photos and when we saw her work we knew that we wanted to work with her. Amanda also offers very reasonable packages that also included a complimentary engagement photo session. Working with Amanda at our engagement shoot was a great experience. She made Ronnie and I both feel extremely comfortable which made our wedding day that much more enjoyable. Amanda is very personable and down to earth. She made us feel like our friend was shooting our wedding and not some random stranger.
Corinne Smith, owner of Panacea Event Floral Design was our florist and designer. Corinne really took the time to meet with us to learn exactly what our envision was for our wedding. She was amazing to work with and was full of amazing ideas. Both Ronnie and I loved every aspect of Corinne's design that she created for our ceremony and reception. We wanted our guests to be wowed by the floral and décor elements in the space but also not take away from the beautiful and unique features of our venue. Corinne was outstanding to work with and brought so much ease and relaxation to the process.
Our ceremony was held outside, overlooking the rolling hills of a large horse ranch located at Windfall Farms in Paso Robles. We were married in the early afternoon amongst 150 of our closest friends and family. The weather couldn't have been better. We had our officiant Reverend Mike Metcalf incorporate personal touches to the ceremony that represented our loved ones that were there with us in spirit. We also wanted to make sure that all of our guests knew how much we appreciated them being there to celebrate with us. We especially wanted to honor Ronnie's dad who had passed away approximately 10 years prior. Ronnie and his dad were extremely close so it was important for us to make him a part of the wedding celebration by adding special touches wherever we could. We had our officiant say a little prayer in Ronnie's dad's honor and we also had a picture framed of him that sat in the very first row of chairs with a small cluster of white tulips. I had found an old rustic frame that complimented our theme well. It was just the perfect touch we were hoping for! So many of Ronnie's family members had tears of joy when they saw the picture of Ronnie's dad sitting there in the first row and all they could say is "he would be so proud of you Ronnie".
Ronnie and I fell in love with our venue the moment we both first saw it. We chose Windfall Farms in Paso Robles because of the unique architecture of the Stallion Barn and the 100's of acres that surround it. The views around the property are breathtaking. It also fit our theme perfectly! The beautiful rolling hills and all of the wild horses was a perfect setting for our country-chic wedding. The venue coordinator, Meegan Huff was such delight to work with. She made Ronnie and I feel so comfortable through the entire coordinating process.
Claire: We both can personally look back and say that we have several moments that we will always cherish. One of my favorites was when I was walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the very first time that day. It was such a magical feeling. Ronnie was fighting back his tears of joy as he watched me walk down the aisle towards him. This only reminded me how much he loves me and I love him.
Ronnie: My most memorable moment was seeing Claire walk down the aisle for the very first time. She looked so beauiful! I had to really fight back my emotions. I knew the second I saw her that I was the happiest and luckiest man alive.
We decided that we wanted to have a country chic wedding with a touch of vintage. Both Ronnie and I love "old country" and I had always envisioned our wedding to have a soft romantic feel to it. By combining both, we created the perfect theme that represented our styles and personalities as a couple. It turned out to be beautiful!
I didn't think I was going to need a wedding coordinator until we were a month out from our big day. We ended up hiring Mary Allegretta-Butler from Joyfully Joined to coordinate our ceremony for us. Mary went above and beyond to make our day special and stress-free. She helped us the evening before the big day at our rehearsal and really took charge yet always had a friendly and professional demeanor. We all felt so comfortable following her lead. Mary was beyond wonderful to work with and was a true life-saver for us.
Epic Weddings was our reception caterer. The food was amazing! We still have friends and family who were guests at the wedding tell us that the food was the best they've ever had at any wedding they've ever been too. Epic Weddings went above and beyond to create the perfect menu and to provide exceptional service to us and our guests. The wedding menu that Epic Weddings created with us represented our taste, style and budget perfectly. We wanted comfort food with a fun and modern twist and wanted to make sure our guests would not go home hungry. We started the reception off with a variety of stationed and tray passed hors d'oeuvres followed by a wonderful and tasty dinner buffet service. Instead of serving a large wedding cake we had Epic Weddings provide us with a dessert station. To end the night we served a combination of sweet and savory treats for our guests to eat or take home with them. Everything was amazing!
I would recommend not losing focus on what is really important. And that is that you are celebrating spending the rest of your life with your chosen partner. Do not get caught up in the small stuff and try to really enjoy the day. It goes by so fast!
