Billy Balls, Craspedia, or Yellow Fluff Balls

Never one to brag about my knowledge of 'flower names' ... cause I don't have any! ... I usually just go on my ability to explain or ask about things I find pretty :) Like when I didn't know about succulents ... lol. Well, the other day on Twitter I decided to ask for photos of 'yellow fluff balls' and then held my breath hoping people would know what I meant. Luckily they did, and floods of photos of these 'yellow fluff balls', better known as Billy Balls or Craspedia krept into my inbox.
With so many uses {boutonnieres, bouquets, centerpieces} these crafty little flowers make the perfect pop of color for your day ... I mean, who doesn't immediately get cheery when they see yellow? Please enjoy the following images! ~xoxo Heather
One of our dear friends, Vanessa from Alchemy Fine Events {more to come from her later!! ... tease} sent us the beautiful pics below from a wedding she designed and coordinated. These were clicked by Justin Lee Photography. The florist of this wedding was Cherry Blossom Wedding Flowers.
Heather Hoesch of LVL Weddings & Events sent us the boutonniere image below. We love the yellow against the seersucker suit jacket. Photo by Aaron Young Photography. Flowers Wholesale in Costa Mesa did a fabulous job!
Sweet Caroline Photo was the first to respond ... srsly on top of things over there!! ... she sent over the next 3 images that one of her brides DIY'd.

Corinne of Panacea Event Florals sent over these next two gorgeous photos. Loving the soft green of the succulents paired with the yellow ... and the soft pink in the vases! Photographs by Kipp Batley.

Heavenly Blooms submitted this image below from a wedding she designed the flowers for. This wedding was featured on Snippet and Ink {one of our adored wedding blogs} ... isn't that boutonniere darling?! I love the twine! The photographer responsible for all the pretty below is Erin Hearts Court.

Below is a clip from Heather and Russell's Austin wedding. These Billy Ball boutonnieres were created by the bride! :)

Yuko and Greg could not resist the happy feeling they got when they saw Craspedia :) Their florist, Creative Floral Designs did a fabulous job. Clip from their wedding article is below.

The bouquet below was submitted to us by Theorie. How darling are the charms hanging from it? Want some for yourself? You can find them on Etsy by artist Oliviamoon. The bouquet itself was designed by Indulge Weddings and Special Events.

Below are two photos taken by the Memory Journalists of work done by Botanica Floral Designs. Love that crisp aqua against the bright yellow ... makes us think of the tropics or Miami :)

Fleur Chicago sent us the photo below ... when we asked who to give photo credit to, they said their i-phone ;) Loving the white, green, and pops of yellow!

Nancy Liu Chin is such a sweetie ... she knew we were looking for Billy Ball photos and sent us these next three late last night after what we're sure was a very busy day for her!! Lisa Lefkowitz took these gorgeous pics!

Lastly, but certainly not least-ly, we have the sweetest Billy Ball wreathe that Blooms by Martha Andrews just sent in this morning .... LOVE!!! This photo was taken by Tanja Lippert Photography.
