When did you become engaged?

When is the big day?
June 1, 2013

What was your engagement shoot like? What was it like working with your photographer?
Christine Gosch is fantastic! The engagement session was so laid back. I love that nothing was forced or overly posed. Christine is so great at capturing the real moments. She was able to incorporate our favorite things seamlessly and the end product is a collection of beautiful photographs that capture who we are and not just what we look like.

What is your venue and why did you choose it?
Our wedding will be at our church, St. Helen in Pearland, Texas. Our reception will be held at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas. This venue could not be more perfect for us. My fiance, Billy, is a pilot and comes from a long line of aviation lovers. The Air Terminal Museum is housed in the original Houston Municipal Airport and air traffic control tower building at Hobby. The beautiful art-deco architecture combined with the aviation memorabilia from decades past creates the most unique and absolutely perfect venue for our big day. We even plan on arriving to the reception in a little two-seater airplane!

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
I am excited about all of our family being together to celebrate. I am excited about dancing. I am excited to wear the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. I'm excited for the wedding night that we have waited our whole lives for. But of all the things I am excited about, I am most excited about marrying my best friend.

Is there anything you are nervous about for your wedding day?
I am nervous that I will cry too much, that my eyes will be red, my make-up will smear and that I will be a mess in all my pictures. The hardest parts will be when my dad gives me away and during the father-daughter dance. I am his oldest and I just love him so much. I am tearing up just thinking about it.

Are you planning to have a 'first look' and photos before the wedding ceremony?
No, I've always envisioned my wedding day very traditional. Billy and I won't see each other until I take that first step down the aisle.
