When did you become engaged?

When is the big day?

September 15, 2012

What was your engagement shoot like?  What was it like working with your photographer?

For our engagement photos we went out to the Mission Inn Resort and Club.  It is a beautiful location. Our photographer, Errol Colon, was so much fun to shoot with. He made us feel comfortable and gave great direction. We had such a great day.  We had two looks for the shoot, because I am a hair and makeup artist myself it was easy to do our touch-ups. We ended our fun filled day with a great meal at the restaurant at the resort.

Who are some of the wedding vendors that you have already decided to hire?

We have Errol Colon as our photographer.
I am from Texas, Tristan is from New Jersey and we are both foodies so food was our biggest 'discussion.' Tristan ended up siding with me and going with 4Rivers Smokehouse for our catering.
Will Roc is our DJ.
Tristan and I have a friend who works at Sprinkles Cake Shop, their cakes are so yummy. It was hard to pick out only 1 flavor... so we picked 4!!!
Joy, owner of Raggamuffin did all my hairpieces, bird cage veil, corsages, flower balls, shoes, and boutonnieres (boutonnieres made of buttons). She did such an amazing job and made them even better than what I could imagine.
I work at Velvet Lab Hair Studio in Lake Mary, Fl as a hair designer and makeup artist. We have a great team that works there. So between my bridal party (made up mostly of hair dressers), my girlfriend Isa, and myself, my day of beauty will be a breeze!

What is your venue and why did you choose it?

We chose the Duncan House for our wedding and ceremony venue because we are having a 1920's inspired wedding. It's an old 1920's estate house right on Lake Dora (in Tavares FL) and is SO beautiful. It has a huge tree next to the water with an old swing in it. I love the way I feel when I walk around the house. We rented it out for 3 days and 2 nights. We will do the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Some of the family and friends will spend the night there, it will give us a nice chance to catch up, slow down and enjoy each other.

What are you most excited about for your wedding day?

Oh gosh, do I have to pick just one thing? First off I can not wait to marry the love of my life. I am so blessed to have such an amazing partner. Second, I have never had all my family in one spot, so I can not wait to have all my family and all Tristan's family all together. I can't wait to feel all their love. Third is a tie between wearing my BEAUTIFUL dress and eating cake. I love sweets and I love sparkles and bling so those are a must for excitement too.

Is there anything you are nervous about for your wedding day?

RAIN!!! That is the one and only thing I am worried about. The whole ceremony and reception are both outside so if it rains we are out of luck because we don't have a plan B. So let's pray and cross our fingers we don't get rain!

Have you planned your honeymoon yet?  Where are you planning to travel to?

Yes, we have planned our honeymoon. Tristan picked the spot and set it all up so I don't know too much about it. All I know is "it's taken care of, don't worry" and "we are going to Majestic Elegance Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic". I am totally excited!

What are 3 words to describe how you feel right now?

Excited, Happy, and Loved
