So, I've said it before and I'll say it again ... one of my favorite things is when a bride who LOVED my wedding website during her planning process submits her wedding to be featured on the site :) I love it even more when the wedding submitted is a fit and I am able to say YESSSSSS!!!! Like in the case of Brianne. I was first smitten over this wedding when I saw a sneak peek of the shoe shots and the wedding stationery ... omg, LOVE! I love the colors and I love the elegant, yet vintage feel this wedding portrays. I hope you love it, too! Thanks for being a fan, Brianne ... and for help making Style Unveiled beautiful and filled with eye-candy!
Psssst... make sure you read the 'inspired theme' part of the interview ... it's just too cute!!
The theme for our wedding was “On Cloud Nine” which was based on our many travels while dating. We met online - Mitchell lived in Arizona and I lived in Tennessee. Shortly after we met online, I was given the opportunity to begin Flight Attendant training, graduated and then had to relocate to a few cities across the country in the process. Needless to say we spent much of our dating life in the clouds, flying back and forth to see each other. We just knew we had to incorporate this into our special day.
Choosing a wedding photographer was pretty easy for me. I had pretty high standards that I thought needed to be met when it came to hiring our own. After a few photographer interviews, I met Cheryl Clark with La Bella Vita Photography... at Starbucks... and the rest is history. I already knew she delivered high quality, crisp, clean images that were timeless. I've seen her work, but in order to hire her as our photographer, I knew her personality would have to fit ours. She had a bubbly positive attitude, was very outgoing, and full of energy. I knew she could keep up with both of us as Mitchell and I are pretty hard to wrangle up at times. Also, I knew she could take control of a situation and get guests to do what she needed them to do. By far she over delivered and provided us with great images we will treasure for years to come.
For wedding paper goods, I was gratefully referred to Amy Profitt with Proffitt Productions who designed everything from our invitations, to our programs and all of the signs throughout our ceremony and reception areas. She designed what we asked of her then emailed us the proofs. I then dealt with the printing process with various vendors. We wanted something that was fun yet still had style and fit within our theme. Amy is always quick to respond to my emails and was patient throughout drafting process of each design. She was very reasonably priced as well (Budget Brides I hope you are reading this!) compared to other avenues we could have taken.
My biggest piece of advice for brides and grooms alike is to think outside of the box. Today is the day of Pinterest and ideas are everywhere! It is so easy to get lost in the details while planning. Try your hardest to not over do what has already been done and make it about your relationship and not what everyone else is doing. Take something that you cherish in your relationship, favorite TV show, a place you visited, favorite thing to do together and elaborate on that. Wedding planning, especially without a Wedding Planner, can be extremely stressful. It’s okay to delegate.
Being that we were getting married in Arizona during the middle of June, we knew our wedding venue had to be indoors. Our other main focus was our tight budget. As soon as we saw Tre Bella we knew it was just what we were looking for. Both the ceremony hall and the reception area were indoors and right next to each other which saved on an unnecessary potential commute for our traveling guests. The venue also blended the feel of a modern urban venue with vintage touches. And to top it off, the price definitely could not be beat. They included just about everything in their packages which made it stress free not having to deal with too many outside vendors.
