Vegetable Garden Wedding - Chicago Wedding - Estera Events

Vegetable Garden Wedding Inspiration

Sometimes we get a bee in our bonnet about an idea (who, us???!) ... a few months ago, we were obsessed with the idea of a wedding designed around veggies!!  Yep, vegetables :)  So, we rang up Hilary of Estera Events and begged her (again!) to take veggies and run with it!  We had not a single idea what direction it would take ... all we said was wedding ideas using vegetables (vague, no??) and when she came back to us and said 'it's done. here are the photos' we were so super excited!!  We adore that she took the word 'veggies' and came up with this:  Aristocratic Elegance meets the Farmers Market

There is a write-up by Hilary below the photos ... Enjoy!

Aristocratic Elegance meets the Farmers Market

Our concept for this photo shoot was Aristocratic Elegance meets the Farmer’s Market. We wanted it to feel as is you were living in a Dutch still life painting while entertaining your closest friends and family at chateau in the South of France. The Wheeler Mansion provided the perfect intimate setting (yes, you can have your wedding in this very garden!). The details are casual but deliberate; textured silk linens with fine china and my favorite: gold flatware, vegetables and herbs at the center of the table arranged like flowers, and personal touches - such as a bottle of rosemary oil that serves as the place card. We also enlisted The Entertaining Company to design the perfect meal to accompany the tablescape. Their creative use of a mini poussin with seasonal vegetables and fruits brilliantly brought together rich colors and beautiful textures.
When designing the concept, we thought it might be nice to have a charming element for the guests to experience they depart. What would be better than breakfast for the next morning! Sugar Chic Designs helped us execute Le Petit Dejeuner, complete with a customized jute bag that each guest would use to cart away mini mimosas, yogurt and granola, cereal and milk, baguettes with mini cheese rounds, tiny bagels and cream cheese in a box, tea and biscotti and individually packaged cinnamon rolls. Tres chic!

Seriously you guys, I think this inspiration shoot from Style Unveiled just stopped my favorcravin’ heart! This has everything I love: pillow boxes, gable boxes, olive oil favors, glassine bags, ribbon, and more — and they’re all in earthy, natural, autumnal colors. There’s enough favor inspiration here for a dozen parties. ...

This wedding is GORGEOUS!!! There doesn't seem to be a flower in site (so as a floral designer ~ I'm in awe), but the artichokes and natural embellishments are absolutely stunning. Beautifully styled!

Yep! That was the challenge :) Using ONLY veggies as decor :) Didn't they do a gorgeous job!? :) We're so glad you love it, Corinne!

What is that color on the napkins?

We would probably call it sage or celery green? :) Isn't that a gorgeous shade!? :)
